Fab fabric wreath

 Wednesday 6th November 19:00-21:30

Spend a relaxing festive evening at the studio creating your own totally unique fabric wreath which can be used year after year. Use strips of vibrant hand dyed and printed fabrics to create your wreath, there will be plenty of colours for you to chose from. No sewing involved, suitable for all levels. £30 including all materials and a glass of festive fizz.

Lino cut Christmas Cards **FULL**

 Thursday 7th November 10:00-13:00

This workshop is back following it's success last year! Join us to design, cut and print your own Christmas cards. This is perfect for beginers to lino cutting/pritning - you will be given an introduction by Liske in order to get a feel for using the tools. You will then have time to work on your design before cutting it into easy-cut lino, and finally you will print a set of Christmas cards to take away. Your lino is also yours to keep so that you can continue printing in your own time. £30 including all materials and refreshments.

Our Christmas handmade fair will be back again this year. We’d love to see you at the studio... there will be lots of lovely handmade gifts on sale, made by us as well as a hand picked group of talented local artisans.
There will be mulled wine, hot drinks and mince pies on offer.
We will also be fundraising for our chosen charity Cancer Research UK

Fabric Print Masterclass

Saturday 11th January 2020 10:00-16:00

Spend a day mastering the arts of thermofax screen printing and wooden block printing. Experiment with layering colours and designs, as well as using discharge paste to remove colour from pre-dyed fabrics. You will have plenty of time to practice before printing your own bespoke organic cotton tea towel to take home. Suitable for beginners. £50 including lunch and materials. 
(This is a change of plan to the flyers handed out at the avoncroft exhibition)

Art cloth course with breakdown printing

Mondays 27th January, 24th February, 23rd March and 27th April  2020 10:00-15:00

Our popular Art Cloth Course will be back in 2020! This course will be made up of four Monday sessions; 27th January; 24th February; 23rd March; 27th April.
This is a great introduction to a number of surface decoration and screen printing techniques as you build up layers of pattern and colour on your cloth. Processes covered including thermofax screen printing, breakdown printing, using paper stencils and masking tape resists, discharge printing, working with thickened dyes and fabric paints.
For this year I’m suggesting a theme of ‘Windows, Doors & Floors’ however you’re welcome to bring along your own ideas...
All of these layers will build up to produce a gorgeous piece of art cloth which can be used within other projects or as a stand along piece. Suitable for all levels of experience.
Course price is £180 including refreshments, soup and all printing materials.

Mono mark- making morning

Thursday 6th February 2020 10:00-13:00

a limited colour palette. Use everyday objects to create your own mark making wooden blocks as well as taking advantage of the range of mark making tools on offer at the studio. Create an interesting collection of fabric and paper samples perfect for collage or other projects. £30 including all materials and refreshments.  

Art textile concertina book 

Friday 28th and Saturday 29th February 2020 10:00-15:00

A new and exciting 2-day workshop using a variety of fabric printing and surface decoration techniques to create interesting and beautiful fabrics which will then be transformed into a folded and stitched fabric concertina book. 
Spend day one adding layers of colour and interest to your white fabric, we will use various mark making techniques along with mono printing, block printing and thermofax printing. Then on the second day we will demonstrate how to transfer your fabrics into a book form before adding further layers in the form of stitch and collage.
£100 including all materials, lunches and refreshments. Sewing machine useful on day 2 but not essential. Suitable for all levels

Lovely Lanterns: Print and make

Thursday 12th March  2020 10:00-15:00

Join us for a relaxing day at the studio creating a pair of lovely lanterns. You will spend the morning printing your own fabric using thermofax screens as well as Indian wooden print blocks, then the best bits of your fabric will be used to create your lanterns. We will have time to add a bit of hand stitch along the way too!
When combined with a tea light or some fairy lights these lanterns give out a lovely glow... they would look lovely on an outdoor table in the summer too!
No experience necessary. No sewing involved. Additional lantern kits can be purchased.
£45 including all materials

Print your own: Lampshade and cushion**FULL**

Saturday 21st March 2020 10:00-16:00

This popular workshop will be returning next Spring. Join Liske and Claire for a fun day creating your bespoke lampshade and coordinating cushion cover. Perfect for all levels. You will learn how to fabric print using thermofax screens and wooden printing blocks, you will have time to practice and plan your design before embarking on your final items. You will leave with both items ready to use! £65 including all materials and lunch.

Indigo Shibori Workshop

This will be our first 2020 Indigo Workshop...
Come and experience the magic of indigo dyeing in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside 💙. You will spend the day experimenting with a variety of Shibori techniques to create a wonderful collection of fabrics to take away. £50 including dye, lunch and refreshments. Bring along your own natural fabrics/items, or buy from us on the day, as well as fabrics we sell cushion covers, table ware, pashminas, canvas bags, which all Dye beautifully! 

Forage, print , stitch

Saturday 16th May 2020 10:00-15:30

This is a new mixed media workshop for 2020. We will begin by exploring the surrounding countryside for wild flowers and leaves. These found treasures will then be your source of inspiration for the day... we will monoprint, gelli print, sun print and more before adding a bit of slow stitch to your favourite samples. £50 including most materials, refreshments and lunch

Indigo Summer School

Thursday 11th Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June 2020

10:00-15:30

If like us you think that one day playing with Indigo isn't enough then this new 3-day course is for you...
Come and experience the magic of indigo dyeing in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside . You will spend the first two days experimenting with a variety of Shibori folding and stitching techniques to create beautifully patterned fabrics, we will also explore over-dyeing coloured and printed fabrics, as well as using wax as a resist. On the third day you will have a chance to over-print and begin work transforming your samples into a hanging or table runner. £170 including dye, lunches and refreshments. Bring along your own natural fabrics.

Happy Hoops: print, collage, stitch

Saturday 4th July 2020 10:00-15:30

Come and join Liske and Claire at the studio for a creative day making your own piece of 'hoop art'. You will begin by printing and painting pieces of fabric using a variety of techniques. These will then be collaged together onto a piece of vintage linen in a boro style before adding some simple hand stitch. £50 including all materials, hoop, lunch & refreshments.

Monthly Textile Groups

We also run monthly textile groups, meeting once a month to explore and create art textiles. Working on a theme as a guide to stimulate your own style you will have the opportunity to explore different surface decoration techniques both textile and paper based. Working towards final pieces , series of works.

Term runs from September 2019 to July 2020, with 9 meet ups. This year 'Landscapes' is fully booked but keep any eye out for 2020 enrollment details.
